the cycle of Worry and Relief continues

Alright, we scraped our presentation through on monday, have been to busy finishing the work and preparing to be too worried but was so nervous just before! We kind of managed to justify our design and evaluate the project but they wanted even more detail..I knew this all along of course ;)

just glad its out of the way, now i can worry about all the other crap!

weigh anchor
will be going back to the old neighbourhood next weekend to see the family and catch up with old drinking partners, i reckon it'll be a nice break but i should really get some legwork on this project...as long as i have a plan...

mum and sis are in egypt catching the sun...wish i was there! thats a place where worry could never hit you.....

Question Time

oh man...hazel blear mp is a dick.
not only does she have the most annoying expression in uk politics, but she can speak 300 words a minute without a single breath. or a point either....

anyways, back to reality. we handed in our poster, and preparations for mondays presentation have begun. needless to say johnboy will be limited to introducing our names while we explain the technical details..(sorry john)

who would think you're expected to do so much work in the final year?

xxxmas
call me cynical, but i find this time of year seriously testing. all the insincere gestures of goodwill and magnanimous commercialism...too much! next christmas i'll flee to japan or anywhere else that doesn't recognise jebus' birthday...

im only joking, its just thinking back to when i were a nipper, how much i loved father christmas, the lights, snowmen etc. i'm an emotional wreck!

back to 'study' for me...ahem....

Sparrowhawk

mmm...sausages...

more bass extravaganza just now, getting a nice sound...(not!)
minimal effort today really, but its all good - the kitchen's clean..

dont you just love charity shops? i always end up buying sth, i am now the proud owner of a third print tolkien circa 1977. woohoo!

stupid fingers

ok, heres some great advice for all you students out there (uk only im afraid) fill in an 'access to learning fund' form, available from student finance. easy money!

talking of wise investments, i am now the proud owner of my very own two foot bong. its just like those flashing lights you get on zebra crossings. but upside down. and smaller.

p.s.
if you want something stimulating to watch next week, find 'the corporation' at your nearest independent cinema. now run along.

check

Ouch, my head! hurts from so much thinking
serious amount of study is going into this infernal poster that i forgot about the presentation, totally need to prepare properly this time!

not had much spare time for social commentary this week, but i noticed (or rather didn't) the fuss over the hunting bill. did anybody notice the identity scheme? doubt it...

half-life 2 is available, the Greatest game yet apparently.
well, mines on order, but now I need a video card, more memory, new glasses, rent, food....
i guess i just need a job

Detune and away

I really should post more often, especially when i have so much to say :p

Its been a (relatively) stressful week. Too much work done wrong, totally missing the point etc seems to have been the theme...But as sometimes happens salvation is born from despair, and I recall my secret power!

Got the Magic Stick
Ahh Yeah!
Some people may argue the downsides: physical lethargy, short term memory loss, insatiable apetite; but, for me anyway, It suddenly all makes sense. Call it a period of mental clarity, or epiphany even, but i gain the ability of understanding. So now we're back on schedule...assignment deadline: Friday 3rd December...

Discover the bass emotion
Music's a good one.
Back to tonight, and i have been relearning my favourite SOAD tunes on the bass. Dude, it feels so good to kick out those detuned jams and feel my teeth vibrate. maybe i could drop it to A...

enough for now as i prepare for the commercial gimmick-fest that is modern football.

Ours is not to Reason why

A day (two minutes?) of contemplation, obviously highlights the gross folly of conflict...

Introversion aside, I'm going to concentrate on lighter subject matter today!

Humu Humu Nuku Nuku Apua'a
The Showroom in Sheffield are running a great season of documentaries and a festival of Korean films - I love watching these weird international musings! Anyway, I saw Riding Giants, directed by the legendary Stacy Peralta last night. If you have ever wondered what it felt like dropping down a 30ft face or wiping out in an horrific fashion, I highly recommend you check it out!

Dude, wheres my pick?
Arrgghhh!
i spent hours this week trying to sample my riffing skills to no avail...
Perserverence is surely the answer, and it'll be well worth the effort when i polish the first track!

anyways, Peace brah!

The Politiks of Feer

Been kidding myself again, as if I'll ever do anything the way you're meant to...
aahhh, the insignificance of that which seems so important! but still, need to get it done and done....

Contentious issue of the day: Bush or Kerry?
Team America will out, but I think Mr Nader's got the right idea.

What a week!

I was walking down the Moor a few days ago and was approached by a middle-aged God-fearing type. But I didn't just smile and jog past him but stopped and spoke. I'm so glad I did....plant those seeds guys!

Highlights of the week:
Our new(ish) 28" badboy!
Lukes new 1kilowatt rig. Loud. Nuff said.

Lowlights:
Fecking wasps nest. and our plumbing.
